The need for preparing financial forecasts arises, for example, in connection with transactions, investment calculations, assessments of development projects, quantification of strategic initiatives, investor reporting and the procurement of financing. The general purpose is to establish and document the expected financial scenarios at a given time, and thereby obtain a more robust basis for decision-making.
The course will provide you with solid insight into the sub-phases of the modelling process – from the design of the models to their subsequent application. You will learn about the preparation of value driver-based forecast models, which facilitate detailed budgeting and forecasting based on a company's key financial parameters. By applying best practice, you will also gain practical experience in building financial models in Excel.

- Practical experience in designing and building a financial model that facilitates budgeting and forecasting of P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements and significant KPIs.
